In short
Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce stores can send WhatsApp, SMS and RCS messages through OmniChannels.ai for order confirmations, shipping updates, COD checks and checkout OTPs. Adobe Commerce can push events through its webhooks or Adobe I/O Events; on Magento Open Source a custom module observer or an extension calls our REST API. There is no Magento extension from us.
What you can do
Order confirmation
When an order is placed, send an approved WhatsApp template with the order number and total, or an SMS where WhatsApp is not available.
Shipment updates
When a shipment is created, send the carrier and tracking number on WhatsApp.
Cash-on-delivery confirmation
Ask COD customers on WhatsApp to confirm before dispatch. Their reply arrives on your webhook, and your code updates the order in Magento.
OTP at checkout or login
A custom module can send a one-time code by SMS or WhatsApp to verify the phone number before checkout or account login.
Abandoned cart and back in stock
Scheduled jobs can remind opted-in customers about abandoned quotes with an approved marketing template, and notify those who asked when an item is back.
Ask an AI assistant
An assistant connected to both our MCP server and your Magento store, through a connector of its own, can find the orders and send the updates after you approve.
Try asking
“Send a WhatsApp order update to customers whose orders shipped today.”
How it connects
On Adobe Commerce, Adobe Commerce webhooks or Adobe I/O Events can send store events, such as order placement or shipment creation, to an endpoint you choose: an automation tool, an App Builder action or your own service, which then calls our REST API. Availability depends on your Adobe Commerce version and setup, so check Adobe's current documentation.
On Magento Open Source, a small custom module with an event observer or a cron job calls our API from PHP, or a general-purpose webhook extension sends events to n8n, Make or Zapier. Either way the request carries your token in an Authorization: Bearer header: JSON for a single SMS, multipart/form-data for WhatsApp templates.
- Adobe Commerce: webhooks or Adobe I/O Events to your endpoint
- Magento Open Source: a custom module observer, cron job or extension
- Approved WhatsApp templates and marketing opt-in where required
- Keep the API token in configuration, not in code
- Statuses and replies arrive on your account's webhook URL
