Zapier + OmniChannels.ai: send messages and react to statuses in Zaps

Connect via API & webhooksUpdated

In short

Zapier works with OmniChannels.ai through Webhooks by Zapier, not a dedicated app. A POST or Custom Request action calls our REST API with your Bearer token to send WhatsApp, SMS and other messages, and a Catch Hook trigger receives delivery statuses and inbound messages. Webhooks by Zapier is a premium app, so it needs a paid Zapier plan.

What you can do

  • Send a WhatsApp template when a new row is added

When a row is added to a spreadsheet or database Zapier watches, send an approved WhatsApp template with the row's values, to contacts who have opted in.

  • Confirm a booking or form entry by SMS

When a form is submitted or a booking is made in an app Zapier supports, send a confirmation SMS to the number it captured.

  • Alert the team when a delivery fails

A Catch Hook trigger receives delivery statuses; a filter step passes FAILED and REJECTED events on to a chat message or email for your team.

  • Record message status in your CRM

Store the message ID from each send on the contact or deal, then update it as delivery statuses arrive, ignoring late or duplicate events.

  • Route inbound replies to the right person

Inbound messages reach the same Catch Hook, so a Zap can log a reply and notify the owner of the matching contact.

How it connects

Connect via API & webhooks

To send, add a Webhooks by Zapier action with the POST event, or Custom Request when you need full control of the body. Point it at the channel's send path on https://api.broadnet.me, set the payload type to JSON, map the fields from earlier steps, and add an Authorization header with Bearer and your token. Bulk and most other channel sends take multipart form data, which may need Custom Request, Code by Zapier or a different tool.

To receive, add a Webhooks by Zapier trigger with the Catch Hook event and send its URL to our team or your account admin to configure as the webhook on your account. Payload fields vary by channel, so load the fields from a real event sent to your own number.

  • Send: Webhooks by Zapier POST or Custom Request to https://api.broadnet.me
  • Authentication: Authorization header with Bearer <token>
  • Receive: Catch Hook trigger URL configured on your account
  • Webhooks by Zapier is a premium app; check Zapier's current plan details
  • Never resend automatically from a status Zap

Questions

Is there an OmniChannels.ai app in Zapier?

No. Zaps call the REST API through Webhooks by Zapier and receive events through its Catch Hook trigger, using your API token in a header.

Which Zapier plan do I need?

Webhooks by Zapier is a premium app and is not available on Zapier's Free plan. Check Zapier's current plan details for task limits as well.

Can Zapier send WhatsApp templates?

Yes, through the same POST action using the WhatsApp send path and fields from our API documentation. Business-initiated messages outside the 24-hour service window need an approved template and an opted-in recipient.

Can Zapier handle every delivery status at high volume?

Each status event uses Zapier tasks and is subject to its plan limits. For high volumes, receive webhooks on your own endpoint and pass a summary to Zapier.
