In short
Foodics, the restaurant point-of-sale system widely used in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, offers webhooks to apps built on its developer platform. An order event can go to an automation tool or a small function of yours, which calls the OmniChannels.ai REST API to send WhatsApp or SMS messages in Arabic or English: order-ready notices, feedback requests and loyalty offers. There is no marketplace app.
What you can do
Order ready for pickup
When an order event shows the order is ready, send the customer an Arabic WhatsApp template or SMS with the order number and branch.
Feedback after the visit
Some time after an order is closed, send a short feedback request with a link, timed by your automation tool.
Loyalty and repeat visits
Send opted-in customers a points update or a weekday offer as an approved WhatsApp marketing template.
Delivery and branch updates
Tell customers about delays or branch changes by SMS when a delivery order's status changes.
How it connects
Foodics provides an API and webhooks for apps registered on its developer platform. Which events are available, and what access your account needs, is set by Foodics, so check its developer documentation before you build. Order data includes the customer's phone number only when it was captured at the till or in the ordering channel.
Our API does not accept Foodics webhook payloads directly. Point the Foodics webhook at an automation tool such as n8n or Make, or at a small function of yours. It reads the order, picks the message and language, and calls our REST API with your Bearer token. Business-initiated WhatsApp messages outside the 24-hour window need approved templates, and marketing messages need the customer's opt-in.
- Foodics webhooks: available to apps on the Foodics developer platform; check its docs
- Order event goes to an automation tool or your function, not to our API
- Approved Arabic and English WhatsApp templates for each message type
- SMS sender IDs in Saudi Arabia must be registered before use
