In short
Calendly can notify an automation tool when a meeting is booked or cancelled through webhook subscriptions in its API, available on paid plans. The automation reads the invitee.created or invitee.canceled event and calls the OmniChannels.ai REST API to send a WhatsApp or SMS confirmation, schedule a reminder, or send a cancellation notice. It needs the invitee's phone number. There is no marketplace app.
What you can do
Booking confirmation
When invitee.created arrives, send a WhatsApp template or SMS with the date, time and meeting link.
Reminder before the meeting
The automation tool waits until a set time before the start and sends a reminder, cutting no-shows for clinics, consultants and sales calls.
Cancellation notice
When invitee.canceled arrives, confirm the cancellation, stop any pending reminder and include a rebooking link.
Arabic and English messages
Pick the template language from the event type or a booking question, for customers in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and beyond.
How it connects
Calendly sends invitee.created and invitee.canceled events to a URL you register as a webhook subscription through the Calendly API. Webhook subscriptions are available on Calendly's paid plans; check Calendly's current plan details. The event includes the invitee's answers, so ask for a mobile number on the booking form, or use the text reminder number field if your event type has one.
Our API does not accept Calendly payloads directly. Register an n8n, Make or Zapier webhook, or your own endpoint, as the subscription URL. It reads the event, sends a confirmation through our REST API, and handles reminders with its own delay or scheduling step. Cancellations need to stop the pending reminder in that tool.
- Events: invitee.created and invitee.canceled
- Webhook subscriptions through the Calendly API, on paid plans
- An automation tool or your function calls our API; reminders use its delay step
