**定义:** GSMA Universal Profile 是运营商、设备厂商和消息应用共同实施的通用 RCS 规范，使 RCS 在不同网络和手机上以相同方式工作。3.0 版新增了基于 Messaging Layer Security（MLS）的端到端加密。

在 Universal Profile 之前，RCS 碎片化为互不兼容的运营商专属版本。GSMA 的 Universal Profile 定义了一套统一的功能集，包括聊天、群聊、文件传输、已读回执、输入状态提示和商业消息，使合规的客户端与网络能够协同工作。

GSMA 在 2025 年 3 月宣布，Universal Profile 的新版本定义了如何将 Messaging Layer Security（MLS）应用于 RCS，并称之为不同供应商客户端实现之间可互通的端到端加密。该版本还为企业互动增加了更丰富的深度链接，以及更好的音频编解码器。

设备和运营商对某个特定规范版本的支持是逐步到来的。例如，苹果自 iOS 18 起在 iPhone 上支持 RCS，并表示在运营商支持的地方，自 iOS 26.5 起支持加密 RCS。

对企业而言，Universal Profile 基本上是背景知识：RBM 的功能和触达范围，取决于 Google、运营商以及各市场手机实际支持的内容。
