# Zid + OmniChannels.ai: Arabic order updates on WhatsApp and SMS

Canonical: https://omnichannels.ai/integrations/zid/
Language: en
Publisher: OmniChannels.ai by BroadNet Technologies

**In short:** Zid stores can trigger Arabic WhatsApp, SMS and RCS messages through OmniChannels.ai for order confirmations, shipping updates, COD checks and review requests. An app built with Zid's partner and app APIs subscribes to store webhooks and sends them to n8n, Make, Zapier or your own code, which then calls our REST API with your token. There is no Zid app from us to install.

## What you can do

### Arabic order confirmation

When an order is created, send an approved Arabic WhatsApp template with the order number and total, or an SMS from your registered sender ID.

### Shipping and delivery updates

When the order status changes to shipped or delivered, send the tracking link on WhatsApp.

### Cash-on-delivery confirmation

Ask COD customers on WhatsApp to confirm before dispatch. Their reply arrives on your webhook, and your automation updates the order.

### Abandoned cart reminder

Where your Zid app can read abandoned carts, remind customers who opted in to marketing, using an approved Arabic WhatsApp marketing template.

### Back in stock and review requests

Notify customers who asked to hear when an item is back, and ask for a review a few days after delivery.

### Ask an AI assistant

An assistant connected to both our MCP server and your Zid store, through a connector of its own, can find the orders and send the updates after you approve.

> Try asking: "Send a WhatsApp order update in Arabic to customers whose orders shipped today."

## How it connects

Zid gives partners APIs to build apps that merchants authorise, and those apps can subscribe to store webhooks such as order events. You register an app through Zid's partner programme, request the access it needs and set the webhook target URL. Event names and app requirements change over time, so check Zid's current developer documentation.

Our API does not accept Zid's payload as it is. Point the webhook at n8n, Make, Zapier or a small endpoint of your own, which reads the phone number and order fields and calls our REST API with your token: JSON for a single SMS, multipart/form-data for WhatsApp templates. Delivery statuses and customer replies come back to the one webhook URL configured on your OmniChannels.ai account.

- Store events come through an app built on Zid's partner APIs
- Route them through n8n, Make, Zapier or your own code to our API
- Approved Arabic and English WhatsApp templates; opt-in for marketing
- SMS sender IDs for Saudi Arabia must be registered before use
- Statuses and replies arrive on your account's webhook URL

## Set it up

1. **Request API access:** Request test access and receive an API token. Test sends go only to your own verified numbers. (Guide: https://omnichannels.ai/developers/quickstart/)
2. **Prepare templates and sender IDs:** Get Arabic and English WhatsApp templates approved, and register an SMS sender ID for Saudi Arabia. (Guide: https://omnichannels.ai/developers/whatsapp/)
3. **Create the receiving step:** Create a webhook trigger in n8n or Make, a Catch Hook in Zapier, or an endpoint in your own code, and copy its URL. (Guide: https://omnichannels.ai/developers/zapier-make-webhooks/)
4. **Set up a Zid app:** Register an app through Zid's partner programme, authorise it on your store and subscribe it to the order events you need, pointing them at your URL.
5. **Call the API:** Map the customer's phone, for example 966500000000, and the order fields, and send the request with your token in the Authorization header. (Guide: https://omnichannels.ai/developers/sms/)
6. **Track delivery and replies:** Have your team or account admin set your webhook URL, then test with an order placed on your own verified number. (Guide: https://omnichannels.ai/developers/webhooks/)

## Example workflow

Zid store event (Order created or status updated, via your app) → n8n, Make, Zapier or code (Maps order fields and calls the API) → OmniChannels.ai API (Sends the Arabic template or SMS) → Customer's phone (WhatsApp, SMS or RCS order update) → Status and replies (Delivery status and COD answers go to your webhook)

## Questions

### Is there an official OmniChannels.ai app on the Zid App Market?

No. You use Zid's own developer features: an app built on Zid's partner APIs receives store webhooks, and an automation tool or your own code calls our API.

### Do I need to be a Zid partner?

Webhook subscriptions are made through apps, so you or your developer need access to Zid's partner programme. Check Zid's current developer documentation for the requirements.

### What do I need for SMS to Saudi numbers?

A sender ID registered and approved for Saudi Arabia. Promotional SMS follows stricter rules than transactional messages such as order updates, so confirm the current rules for your use case with our team during onboarding.

### Can I send messages in Arabic?

Yes. Submit Arabic WhatsApp templates for approval and send them with the ar language code. SMS supports Arabic text, which uses more characters per message part than English.
