# Foodics + OmniChannels.ai: message diners about their orders

Canonical: https://omnichannels.ai/integrations/foodics/
Language: en
Publisher: OmniChannels.ai by BroadNet Technologies

**In short:** Foodics, the restaurant point-of-sale system widely used in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, offers webhooks to apps built on its developer platform. An order event can go to an automation tool or a small function of yours, which calls the OmniChannels.ai REST API to send WhatsApp or SMS messages in Arabic or English: order-ready notices, feedback requests and loyalty offers. There is no marketplace app.

Connect via API & webhooks

## What you can do

### Order ready for pickup

When an order event shows the order is ready, send the customer an Arabic WhatsApp template or SMS with the order number and branch.

### Feedback after the visit

Some time after an order is closed, send a short feedback request with a link, timed by your automation tool.

### Loyalty and repeat visits

Send opted-in customers a points update or a weekday offer as an approved WhatsApp marketing template.

### Delivery and branch updates

Tell customers about delays or branch changes by SMS when a delivery order's status changes.

## How it connects

Foodics provides an API and webhooks for apps registered on its developer platform. Which events are available, and what access your account needs, is set by Foodics, so check its developer documentation before you build. Order data includes the customer's phone number only when it was captured at the till or in the ordering channel.

Our API does not accept Foodics webhook payloads directly. Point the Foodics webhook at an automation tool such as n8n or Make, or at a small function of yours. It reads the order, picks the message and language, and calls our REST API with your Bearer token. Business-initiated WhatsApp messages outside the 24-hour window need approved templates, and marketing messages need the customer's opt-in.

- Foodics webhooks: available to apps on the Foodics developer platform; check its docs
- Order event goes to an automation tool or your function, not to our API
- Approved Arabic and English WhatsApp templates for each message type
- SMS sender IDs in Saudi Arabia must be registered before use

## Set it up

1. **Request API access:** Request test access and receive an API token. Test sends go only to your own verified numbers. (Guide: https://omnichannels.ai/developers/authentication/)
2. **Set up Foodics developer access:** Register an app on the Foodics developer platform and confirm which order events and data it can receive.
3. **Receive order events:** Point the Foodics webhook at an n8n or Make webhook, or your own endpoint, and inspect a real order event. (Guide: https://omnichannels.ai/developers/zapier-make-webhooks/)
4. **Prepare templates:** Get Arabic and English WhatsApp templates approved for order-ready, feedback and loyalty messages. (Guide: https://omnichannels.ai/developers/whatsapp/)
5. **Send through our API:** Map the phone number and order fields and call our API for WhatsApp or SMS, skipping customers without a number or consent. (Guide: https://omnichannels.ai/developers/sms/)

## Example workflow

Foodics POS (An order is created, ready or closed) → Automation or your function (Reads the order event and picks the message) → OmniChannels.ai API (Sends the WhatsApp template or SMS) → Diner's phone (Order-ready, feedback or loyalty message in Arabic)

## Questions

### Is there an OmniChannels.ai app in the Foodics marketplace?

No. You use Foodics' own developer platform and webhooks, with an automation tool or your own function calling our REST API.

### Can Foodics send to your API directly?

No. Our API does not accept Foodics payloads. Something in between has to read the order and build the send request.

### Which order events can I use?

That depends on what Foodics makes available to your app. Check the Foodics developer documentation for the current events and access requirements.

### Can I send loyalty offers to every customer?

Only to customers who opted in. On WhatsApp, offers are marketing templates that need approval, and SMS marketing in Saudi Arabia follows local sender and content rules.
