**Definition:** The Campaign Registry (TCR) is the industry registry that stores the brand and campaign data for US 10DLC messaging, which mobile network operators use to identify business senders.

TCR holds the registration data for 10DLC. Messaging providers, called Campaign Service Providers (CSPs), enter a business's brand and its campaigns, and the mobile network operators read that data to see who is sending application-to-person texts and for what purpose.

TCR does not decide. It states that it does not review, approve or reject campaigns; CSPs and their upstream partners approve campaigns, and the carriers set the traffic limits they apply. What TCR does is store the data and verify brand identity, using the EIN or tax ID the business supplies.

TCR also defines the vocabulary of 10DLC. Campaigns fall into standard use cases, which are generally available to registered brands, and special use cases, which are sensitive or critical in nature and may need operator approval. Vetting is the extra identity check on a brand; brands must be vetted or receive operator pre- or post-approval to send special use cases.

Because the data must match across the brand, the website and the campaign, use the legal name from your tax filings and the same website everywhere. A brand already registered through another CSP must still be registered by each CSP you use, and the vetting result can be imported rather than repeated. OmniChannels.ai's team prepares and files registrations with you.
