**Definition:** The NTRA (National Telecom Regulatory Authority) is Egypt's telecoms regulator. Business sender IDs in Egypt need NTRA and operator approval, and marketing consent falls under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

Egypt has four mobile operators: Orange Egypt (MCC-MNC 602-01), Vodafone Egypt (602-02), etisalat by e& (602-03) and WE, Telecom Egypt (602-04). Sender IDs are alphanumeric, Latin or Arabic, up to 11 characters, with one ID per use case per entity; plan for a longer approval time than in most GCC markets.

Marketing messages require verifiable opt-in under the Personal Data Protection Law (No. 151 of 2020), with the consent source, timestamp and channel recorded. Opt-out requests (STOP or إيقاف) should be one step and stay in force until the person consents again.

We have not found an NTRA-published time-of-day window for promotional SMS. Agree sending hours with the operators and send promotions in local daytime; transactional traffic can run around the clock.

Egypt is a large, price-sensitive SMS market where grey routes are common, so check that messages arrive from your registered sender ID. Confirm current rules with the NTRA or your provider.
